We asked Ambrosia and Joachim to tell us their love story and Joe replied “Our story is really based on the meeting, loving and knowing your best friend.” They both love to hunt, fish, boat, hike and travel. He said “As best friends, being with each other is fun, yet romantic. Our love is a destiny that we intend to fulfill for the rest of our lives.”

The day was crisp and skies were royal blue. The wedding party enjoyed the Pine Peaks Retreat House and when they ventured outside they were warmed by the roaring fire in the fire pit. Ambrosia and Joe were married in record time at the Crosslake Lutheran Church witnessed by their family and closest friends.

IMG_8712The celebration followed with a reception at the Pine Peaks Event Center. They chose a vintage theme to decorate the Event Center so there was nostalgia in the air. The bride’s parents Ron and Dee Dee collected numerous vintage pieces consisting of silver, cameras and photos. Each table had an interesting display of these unique items. The scent of fresh red and white roses filled the air. The cake top belonged to the bride’s maternal grandparents from their wedding in 1960. A photo of the couple cutting their cake was on display.

IMG_8734The guests of Joe and Ambrosia enjoyed a variety of fabulous cupcakes and cheese cakes made by their “sweet” aunt. On display was a photo of the bride’s fraternal grandparents along with the wedding dress which was made from a parachute from WWII. Likewise, the mother of the bride’s bouquet from 1984 was displayed. Other family photos also added to the decor and all had a story of the family’s history.

IMG_8827Mauceri’s Catering delighted the guests with their fabulous buffet dinner. Fresh bread, house salad followed by beef bourguignonne, stuffed chicken with ham, three cheese prosciutto and basil and roasted garlic rosemary baby reds and Sicilian green beans. Jodi later made a crowd favorite, fresh pizzas in Pine Peak’s Italian Wood Fired Oven.

IMG_8844Trying to outdo the vintage photos was difficult, but the guests tried while entertained themselves and gave the bride and groom fabulous photos in Premier Entertainment’s photo booth. Then they danced the night away. Love was obviously in the air as a bridesmaid, also the sister of the bride, Lauren, became engaged after all of the festivities of the night were done! She will also be a beautiful bride.
