Danae and Catlan met through Catlan’s sister Carley. Danae and Carley had been friends for a couple of years before he requested her phone number. Luckily, she shared Danae’s number! They dated for about eight years before he popped the question. They were on their annual sweetheart snowmobile trail ride last February 22nd when they stopped along the trail and Catlan got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him. SHE SAID YES!! 2014-12-20 03.44.33 Danae and Catlan live in the middle of North Dakota and wanted a destination wedding within driving distance so many of their family and friends could witness their vows. They chose 2014-12-19 21.28.37 The bride went with black chair covers and linens covered with maroon organza table covers and champagne bows. The guests of honor at the head table had sparkly chair ties and gold chargers which added an elegant touch! Various combinations of decorations were used throughout, which added a festive bling. Dave made ice candles to add sparkle outside on the walk way. They completed decorating on Friday and then held the rehearsal in the Pavilion. The Groom’s Dinner was held at 2014-12-20 02.25.31 Saturday arrived and it was THEIR day! Catlan had requested that he not see his beautiful bride the day of the wedding until she was walking down the aisle. Danae stated that he had so few requests for their day and she couldn’t say no. (He was a very romantic groom) 2014-12-19 22.48.37   The wedding party got ready in the Retreat House in separate quarters. The Master Suite with its own salon was the hangout for the Bride and her entourage. The guys were allowed the use of the rest of the house with the lower level being their main domain to get ready. 2014-12-19 22.09.40 The bride was radiant in her strapless gown adorned with sparkling jewels that matched the twinkle in her eyes. Her laughter was contagious as she shared the day with her mom and bridal party who wore stunning cranberry red satin dresses. Their unique bouquets were an arrangement of Christmas bulbs! 2014-12-20 01.30.39 It was 4:30 and it was time for the Groom to see his Bride! Danae wore the orange sandals she had worn to prom with Catlan years before as she was escorted by her father from the Retreat House and down the aisle. An emotional  Groom waited as Danae made her way toward him. Loving vows were witnessed by all who had traveled to share their wedding day. A Unity Cross was assembled by the Bride and Groom as a symbol of two becoming one. They were introduced as Husband and Wife and they joyously walked hand and hand up the aisle ready for the rest of their lives! 2014-12-20 03.54.35 After the ceremony, a roaring fire awaited the guests in the fireside room and Toni Maucieri Sr. and Wes were ready at the bar. Kate of 2014-12-20 04.25.16 A Pine Peak’s tradition, Dave introduced Maucieri’s team and announced the menu chosen by the couple. Chef Brian outdid himself with a Ceaser Salad, fresh bread, Antipasto, Asparagus, Chicken Parmesan which is lightly bread, then grilled chicken topped with provolone cheese and gravy and served over fettuccine. The guests also enjoyed Stuffed Shells of jumbo pasta shells stuffed with handmade Italian Sausage, fresh spinach and three cheeses, topped with gravy and baked to perfection! Fabulous!!! 2014-12-20 04.32.07 2014-12-20 04.12.37 As a special late night snack, Kate baked fresh made pizzas in Pine Peak’s very own 2014-12-20 06.03.22 The Newlyweds plan a Honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic followed by a long weekend snowmobiling in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Danae is a Dental Hygienist and Catlan is a farmer. They share their happy home with their dog Gus and four cats! 2014-12-20 04.55.46 We, at Pine Peaks, were delighted to share this joyful wedding weekend with Danae and Catlan and their fun wedding guests!
