Jennifer and Dan met through a mutual friend and had their first date on December 7, 2007. The two of them became inseparable, spending as much time together as possible over the next couple of years. They were engaged in December of 2013 and right away started touring venues in the Twin Cities area. They toured over a dozen venues, but nothing felt perfect. After hearing about Jenny and Dan arrived early on Thursday with family and friends and spent the entire day transforming the property into Jenny’s dream wedding. They loved that their close family and friends were able to stay right on the same property as the Event Center, making it extremely easy to get all of the decorating done! They spent Thursday night relaxing with family, playing a card game and enjoying the company of family and friends. Friday was busy with last minute decorating, meetings with vendors, the rehearsal and then Groom’s dinner. Then finally, their day had arrived. It was Saturday and it was time to say I DO! There was a dusting of snow still on the ground with a hint of green grass showing through and the sky was overcast which makes a great backdrop for photos. The bridal party had their hair done at Videographers from The very romantic candle lit ceremony was held in the heated pavilion with family and friends excited to see the couple exchange forever vows. Dave even had made ice candles which were lit and lead the way from the Retreat House to the ceremony! They did it! They said I DO!! And the party began! A roaring fire was going in the fireside room and Wes was ready to greet one the guests at Introduction of the new bride and groom with the Grand March had the crowd on their feet! In lieu of a guest book, Jenny had a page that will make up a scrap book on each table for the guests to sign. Lisa Sherwood then followed the couple around to each table for a “group” photo for their “page in the couple’s memory.” (Great way to make sure EVERY guest gets in a photo! Great thinking Jenny!) Maucieri’s Catering with Chef Brian at the helm served a fabulous plated dinner starting with a Caesar Salad and fresh bread. Kate ran the show and the guests were given a choice of Beef tips with Mushroom Demi or Atlantic Salmon Char Grilled with Pesto Cream. Ratatouille, a French Provencal stewed vegetable dish and Garlic Mash Potatoes were also served! OMG! Great job Chef Brian and the team at Maucieri’s! The guests enjoyed the delicious and beautiful cake for dessert that was made by We, at Pine Peaks, were so thrilled to share the energy of this fabulous couple on their wedding weekend and thank Jenny and Dan for choosing us! We wish you luck and love in your forever adventure together! Be true! See the rest of their Facebook Wedding Photo Album, taken by Julie, here.
