Mikal and Derek’s day had finally arrived! They said their joyful “I Dos” in a glorious ceremony in Pine Peak’s garden officiated by the great Dr. Harry Olson. After the vows, as a sign of their love being released out into the world, doves were released over their family and friends! Screams of joy filled the yard!
The reception followed in Pine Peak’s pavilion followed by a fabulous wedding feast prepared by Kate and Chef Brian of Maucieri’s Catering. They started with a Caesar Salad, an array of fresh bread, asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, maple leaf chicken and slow-roasted beef with mushroom demi-glace’ sauce. The kids had their feast with chicken fingers, fruit cups, tater tots and veggie cups! Kate also served a fall favourite, Maucieri’s warm apple crisp.
Later, fresh pizzas were baked in the fireside room in Pine Peak’s very own Mugnaini’s Wood Fired Oven. The guests also enjoyed a delicious dessert bar of goodies! YUM!
It was a perfect wedding weekend for Mikal and Derek! We at Pine Peaks were honored to host this fabulous wedding and wish them the best of luck and love in their future as husband and wife. Enjoy Julie’s photos!
