“This past weekend featured another perfect wedding at Pine Peaks Retreat & Event Center. Bride and groom, Katie and Scott Paquette, celebrated their love for one another with 250 of their closest friends and family. With the sun shining down on the day, it was clear to see that their commitment has sunny days ahead.
Katie and Scott met when they both worked at the Brainerd International Raceway. She was an on-site RN and Scott kept the location safe by working overnight security. Perhaps that is the reason Katie feels so safe with him.
Some of the newlyweds’ favorite things to do are fishing, sightseeing, and taking day trips to local areas. Their shared passion for traveling was one of the many reasons why Pine Peaks Retreat & Event Center was a perfect match. Its privacy and beautifully landscaped grounds made every guest feel like they were part of a truly special experience.
Entertaining 250 guests can be quite a feat, but Katie and Scott were up to the challenge. They were able to make sure everybody had something to do. Whether they were playing yard games on the lawn, taking photos in the photo booth, or blowing bubbles during the ceremony, everyone had a smile on their face.
The wedding reception kept the smiles coming. Maucieri’s Bar made sure to keep everybody stocked up on beverages as dinner was prepared. As the dinner buffet began, guests who had to wait to get food made sure to enjoy the slideshow that played on Pine Peak’s projector screen. After dinner, the wedding party and their guests were not only treated to wood-fired pizzas from Maucieri’s, but also to an smores bar and appetizers that included jalapeño poppers and chips and salsa with queso.
As the dancing went on the night, it was obvious how blessed Katie, Scott, and their families are to have each other in their lives.
