At Pine Peaks Event Center, we cater to all types of weather and we are rather fond of winter weddings. They are gorgeous and add a unique touch to the whole day!

We want to make it a warm and enjoyable day for you and your guests. We welcome guests on cold, snowy days with a fire in the fireside room and a fire pit outside. With warm beverages, bright and shiny decorations; guests are sure to feel warm at any winter wedding.

Here are some great tips and ideas if you are planning a winter wedding:

1. Purchase Winter decorations after the Holiday season.

Purchasing sparkling decorations, ornaments and pine cone and snowflake elements after the Holiday season will save you a lot of money with the end of the season sales.

Incorporate white Christmas lights, candles, Amaryllis and Poinsettia flowers to your décor to give your guests the feeling that they are in a winter wonderland.

 2. Add warmth to your menu for guests.

Serve your favorite dishes, but be sure to incorporate some winter touches as well. Serve warm, wintery beverages when your guests arrive at the reception.  Hot chocolate and cappuccino bars have been quite popular lately, where guests can add all kinds of goodies to their beverages.

A great midnight snack for guests are smores, this works especially well if your venue has a fireplace inside or outside. Delicious!

3. You and your wedding party should dress warm!

If the bride and her bridesmaids are wearing sleeveless dresses, consider wearing matching peacoats or shawls to keep warm during outdoor photos and traveling. Brides have even been wearing cute boots with wool socks and leggings to keep themselves warm.
