“Brooke was first intrigued with Randy because of his cool motorcycle, and their first ride together was just the beginning of their journey together. He got her number and the rest is history. Randy was deployed for a year to Kuwait and Iraq and they remained close while he was gone. When he returned, he went to school for Power Sports and Brooke is presently completing schooling in Hair, Cosmetology, and Esthetics.
After they were engaged, Brooke and Randy chose Pine Peaks Event Center as a destination wedding because of all that was included in the wedding weekend package. When they arrived, Brooke and her Entourage enjoyed using the Pine Peaks collection of decorations to decorate the Event Center and birch arbor. Randy’s attention to detail helped pull the event together with the music and lighting. A unique feature was the “message in a bottle” in which the guests wrote advice for the couple to be read after the 1st, 5th, 10th, and 25th anniversaries. Also, the mixing of salt and pepper in a bottle during the ceremony which can never again be separated. Together forever.
The wedding party and family enjoyed the house and grounds for the weekend and had time to get to know the people that supported Brooke and Randy through their journey. They hosted the Groom’s Dinner on the site Friday night and Grandma at the request of the bride made her fabulous homemade caramel rolls for breakfast. (Dave and I tried them and they were amazing!)
Some of the guys enjoyed the wood sauna Friday night and had their very own water boy, Grandma, who was shocked to find the guys in their underwear! She decided that she had her very own Chippendales! Grandma was not disappointed as the “Chippendales” gave her a dance on Saturday night that I am sure will be talked about for years in Kansas when she returns home!
Brooke was ecstatic to learn upon arrival that Pine Peaks had added a salon in the Master Suite! She did her own hair in beautiful curls first, then the hair of her bridesmaids. The bridesmaids then enjoyed a Jacuzzi for their feet which warmed them before dressing for the ceremony.
To the couples’ delight, an outdoor ceremony was held on a crisp, sunny fall day surrounded by the beautiful colors of the season and witnessed by their family and friends. Chef Dewey of Maucieri’s presented a fabulous buffet dinner featuring Lasagna with Tony SR’s homemade Italian sausage and chicken fettuccini along with a house salad and Chef Dewey incredible fresh bread.
