Carmen and Luke were both offered to go to Japan through People to People. During a calligraphy class on their second day there, Carmen decided to talk Luke’s ear off. After his initial hatred of her wore off, they became good friends and stayed that way until September 2012 when they finally started dating.
The Proposal – After buying the ring on a Sunday and telling a few people, Luke waited very impatiently for Thursday, February 13th. It was chilly and Carmen did not suspect a thing when Luke wanted to go for a walk on such a cold afternoon. When they were alone near St. Anthony Falls, Luke got down on one knee to pop the question and of course she said YES!!
Pine Peak’s Event Center was a perfect choice for Carmen and Luke. They had a beautiful candlelit ceremony in Pine Peak’s pavilion where they exchanged personal vows of love in front of their closest family and friends.
The guests were then greeted by a roaring fire in the fireside room and Maucieri’s Catering famous artichoke dip and beautiful fruit tray. Shortly after, the wedding party and the new Mr. and Mrs. were introduced by the DJ, Deondre’ of Premier Party Entertainment and the party began.
Kate and her team from Maucieri’s Catering along with Chef Brian rocked the wedding feast! The guests enjoyed a house salad, fresh bread, green beans almandine, roasted garlic baby reds, carved ham and Cornish game hens. A kid’s meal was also enjoyed by many! Great job Maucieri’s! As a late night treat, Kate baked fresh homemade pizzas in Pine Peak’s very own Mugnaini Wood Fired Oven. Deandre’ kept the guests rocking well into the night!
We at Pine Peaks truly enjoyed hosting the wedding celebration of Carmen and Luke! We wish them the best of luck and love in their lives as husband and wife. Enjoy Julie’s photos below!
