“Jackie and Nate met on the Florida State University Campus in September of 2007. Their first date was at an Ice Cream Shop that same month and the relationship was made official in November 2007. They chose Pine Peaks Event Center as a destination location to bring their family and friends together for their dream wedding weekend.

A number of their guests were from out of state, many from Florida which prompted the groom’s mom to throw a fabulous groom’s dinner on Friday night for the “Perfect Pair” and 50 guests. This event was staged in the pavilion with hydrangeas on green and gold complete with a sound system and dance floor. The event was catered by Maucieri’s with carved turkey, carved roast beef, garlic mashed potatoes, baked corn pudding with sweet peppers, spinach with hot bacon dressing and fresh bread.

Saturday came and the couple exchanged vows at the beautiful country Faith Lutheran Church a half mile from the Event Center. The bride and groom were swept away from the church on a horse and carriage ride with Doug Taylor’s majestic Percheron horses from Action Entertainment to the Event Center. The guests filled the air with bubbles and cheered as the couple strolled away.

Wedding guests celebrated the union back at Pine Peaks Event Center starting with Butler passed Hors d’ oeuvres of stuffed mushrooms, cream puffs with salmon and tomato mozzarella basil skewers. For dinner, Chef Dewy out did himself with fresh bread, Caesar and house salads with Sicilian green beans, stuffed chicken with three cheese prosciutto and basil and baked mostaccioli. The celebration continued by dancing the night away. To the delight of the guests Maucieri’s later made their famous fresh pizzas prepared in Pine Peaks Italian Wood Oven. Another dream wedding with lifetime memories at Pine Peaks Event Center. Congrats Jackie and Nate!” -Dave Peterson
