29194718123_2047ee9ffb_zMegan first remembers seeing Stephanie at a football game at Armstrong. Steph was on the dance team and when she walked out on the floor, Megan remembers saying to herself “Wow! Who is that?”

Officially, they met when Megan was a junior and Stephanie was a freshman. They had basketball tryouts and Stephanie made JV/Varsity. She and her teammates were picking out numbers when Megan came over to congratulate them for making the team! Megan and Stephanie quickly became inseparable.

The couple attended a wedding of friends Katie and Tyler in January of 2015 at Pine Peaks Wedding and Event Center in which Megan was the Maid of Honor. They fell in love with Pine Peaks and knew it was the perfect place to share their I Dos. Katie returned this August as a bridesmaid for Megan and was “hours” away from giving birth. (Congrats to Katie and Tyler on the birth of their baby boy!! Julie really thought they would have their first birth at Pine Peaks, but he decided to wait for his own event.)

The celebration was fabulous! They used many of Pine Peak’s decorations, but added many of their own. For a backdrop behind the head table, Stephanie prepared numerous doors with many awesome textures and colors. Steph and Megan were kind enough to leave many of these in Pine Peak’s Treasure Chest of decorations for future brides and grooms to enjoy! Maucieri’s Catering with Kate Sargent as Catering Manager and Chef Brian rocked the event with an amazing feast. Maucieri’s newly remodeled bar was hosted by Tony Maucieri Sr. and Cory Sargent.

We at Pine Peak’s Event Center were delighted to host the fabulous wedding of these two beautiful women. The love and support Megan and Stephanie had from family and friends were contagious! Megan and Stephanie were blessed to marry their best friend. Keep the love!
